Experience, creativity, flexibility
Visual Reality combines the talents of one of Perth's most talented
lighting cameramen / directors with an accomplished writer / producer
to create innovative cost-effective productions.
Peter
Liddicoat started his career as an audio technician in
1982, before moving to video in 1987 when he studied broadcast camera
operations at TAFE. After working for some of Perth’s premier
audiovisual companies – including Corporate Theatre Productions
and Gearhouse – he established Visual Reality in 2001. Peter
has extensive experience as a lighting cameraman and editor and
is recognised as being amongst Perth’s most experienced and
creative directors. He's quick to adopt new technologies like editing
on a an Apple Notebook computer with Final Cut Pro and DVD design
and production.
This same technology enables him to edit on-site with a client,
ensuring minimum disruption to your schedule. It even allows edited
highlights of a wedding to be played back at the reception. When
he is not working Peter is actively involved in a metropolitan church
where he heads up the video team. He is delighted to be able to
train this team with his professional skills as they prepare for
a television ministry. He is married to Luisa who often assists
him on weddings. A true visual artist, Peter is meticulous in ensuring
that the scene is properly arranged and lit before a single frame
of video is shot. He has a passion for his work and this reflects
in everything he does.

Visual
Reality also employs a team of video and television production professionals
on an "as needed" basis, ensuring clients aren't paying
for unnecessary overheads. All are experienced in their fields,
whether camera operators, editors, production assistants, sound
technicians or makeup artists. Each crew is assembled only after
a thorough analysis of a client's needs. On smaller productions
a qualified camera operator can also look after sound and lighting
in order to keep within budget. At a conference, one camera operator
can often mix between two unmanned cameras in keynote sessions.
Our aim is to give a client the best possible quality within cost
constraints. We're used to being innovative -- contact
us to find out what we can do on your budget.
